Working out 2-3 times a week with Carrie’s classes has been a vital part of my life the last several years. Her workouts are so interesting and challenging that it’s never boring! Ten years ago I was 30lbs overweight and nursed frequent lower back pain. Since consistently working out with Carrie, I’ve maintained a healthy weight and I feel great about my all-around strength, flexibility and vitality. Carrie’s classes exercise the whole body. After I suffered a left shoulder injury last year, some arm movements became painful or impossible. I felt frustrated and contemplated surgery. However, I decided that if my shoulder could heal itself, her classes would do it. Avoiding pain to the joint, I continued the classes, focused on stretching my neck and shoulder, and perservered. I was amazed that six months later, full movement was possible. I have no pain there and my left arm is almost as strong as my right. No need for surgery! Meet Carrie
Carrie graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Psychology from University of Connecticut. In 2008 Carrie combined her passion for helping people with her love of health and fitness and became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. She then went on to become a Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist and Precision Nutrition Coach. In high school, Carrie competed as a distance runner and downhill ski racer and qualified for the New England High School Championships in both sports. She still holds the record for the mile and 2 mile at Kingswood Regional Highschool in Wolfeboro, NH.
Carrie works with all fitness levels and age groups and incorporates strength, conditioning, balance, flexibility and agility into her training sessions. She pays particular attention to proper form and takes into account any previous or current injuries you may have.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, cooking healthy meals, skiing and hiking with her dog.
